India Calls Musk’s Starlink Monopoly Allegations ‘Groundless’

The Indian Ministry of Communications has dismissed the statements made by Elon Musk about the local "oligarchs" preventing the provision of satellite Internet services by Starlink in order to protect their monopoly status, stating that the statements were groundless. In addition, it stated that the process of receiving regulatory approvals was unbiased, non-discriminatory and currently carried out security evaluations for multiple companies. The point is that large Indian telecommunications companies such as Reliance Jio (Mukesh Ambani) and Bharti Airtel (Sunil Mittal) are waiting for final clearances to start their satellite Internet businesses.
